Eliza & Maxime brought together three languages, two cultures and one absolutely crazy party at Villa Park Julianna.
Filming this wedding was a powerful experience, mainly due to the fascinating cultural mix. There was a ton of humor, emotion, dancing, toasts, and cultural exchanges that can’t be planned.
Definitely, the biggest challenge was creating a narrative based on three languages. I wondered how to simplify it, or which language to choose… And as usual, I opted for authenticity. This day was a powerful cultural mix and a clash of many languages. So, naturally the film should present that! There are plenty of jokes, humor, and inside jokes that only a few will understand. But that’s the point. Mangoosta makes films about people, for people! xD
